A recent opportunity for Ryan and his family has required him to step down as the President of the WIFSC Board. Please see Ryan’s email below for more information on the leadership change.
The Club would like to thank Ryan for all of his dedication and many successes over the last 8 years, you will be greatly missed. Good luck to Ryan and his Family as they start skating on new ice.
Congratulations to Cheryl, she was elected by the Board of directors to fill Ryan’s position through this term.
Dear Wisconsin Figure Skating Club,
I want to thank you for eight wonderful years of friendship and skating. I have taken a new position in Illinois. The transition has been a quick one, as we needed to enroll our little ones in school, which starts this week.
It has been a great privilege to serve you on the board the past four years. WFSC has a proud history and a bright future. My goal in the past year as president has been to cast vision, to promote unity, and to help create encouraging atmospheres for all skaters to thrive in. Your current board of directors is filled with talented and dedicated members. In this time of transition, I remain available to them as a resource. WFSC is still our home club and I am committed to its success.
It is only fitting to transfer leadership to someone both dedicated and local to WFSC. Our bylaws read that in the event of a vacancy, the remaining directors may select one of the existing directors to fill the position through the end of the term. The remaining directors have chosen our secretary, Cheryl Maraccini, to fill the role of president. I have full confidence in Cheryl’s leadership abilities. In fact, I believe her skills are exactly what the club needs to help take it to the next level.
This does leave the officer position of secretary vacant. If you are interested in filling this position, please let us know. The next board meeting is scheduled for September 18 at 6:15 PM and the membership is welcome to attend. My email address of email@example.com will remain open for both club and personal communications. We miss you all already!
